Our inuagural installation with Silverburn Shopping Centre

Exciting news from Katrick Technologies!

We now officially have our first demonstrable prototype for COP26 installed. Our wind team was hard at work this week installing our first wind panel array at Silverburn Shopping Centre.

Located in their Green Car Park the installation will allow us to capture and log valuable wind data on our journey in developing our innovative wind panels. Designed to capture turbulent ground effect winds their independently-working aerofoils capture the kinetic energy from the wind to convert into mechanical vibrations. These are then driven through generators to produce carbon-free electricity. Their ability to this type of wind energy in combination with their flexible and modular design allows them to be placed in urban and rural environments. From shopping centres to hillsides, roadside, and airports, the possibilities are endless.
